Find the best places to farm Giant Mantis Shrimp around Pandaria and more
You can find Giant Mantis Shrimp pools, generally, around the coast of Pandaria. Here is how we rank each of the fishable regions of Pandaria for Giant Mantis Shrimp:
If you are in Krasarang Wilds, fly to Cradle of Chi-Ji and head southwest towards 28, 66 and begin looping through the 3 islands between Domination Point and the Cradle of Chi-Ji. You won't get rich farming Giant Mantis Shrimp but along the way you will find a good amount of Reef Octopus pools too. You can also find a few pools of Giant Mantis Shrimp in around the little islands between the southern island of Nayeli Lagoon and Cradle of Chi-Ji. A few more pools can be found south east of The Incursion.
Giant Mantis Shrimp are sparsely found in Jade Forest. The best place we can recommend is to fly to Zhu's Watch in Krasarang Wild and head due southeast towards the Horde Outpost south of Paw'Don Village. Start around 42,92 and travel around the southern tip of the Jade Forest. You will notice some of the flightpath takes you out into the Uncharted Sea.
You will find a handful of Giant Mantis Shrimp pools just east of Rikkitun Village in the northeastern most part of Dread Wastes. Other pools are available but time it takes to fly between neach pool makes it ineffecient.
Ben of the Booming Voice (NPC) provides "fish of the day". Giant Mantis Shrimp will be available in large special fishing schools called Tangled Mantis Shrimp Clusters. Head out and fill up your bags while available. Shrimp Stuffed Shrimp swimming in the area will dropped Giant Mantis Shrimp or Sealed Crates.
